Webtoon Drama Adaptionen

Langjährige Dramafans wissen es bereits: Viele eurer Lieblingsdramen basieren auf Manga und Manhwa.

Damit geht natürlich das Suchtprogramm los - es gibt eine japanische, eine koreanische und eine chinesische / taiwanesische Version, die man natürlich alle geschaut haben sollte. Nächster Schritt: Die Manga-Vorlage lesen. Ein gutes Beispiel hierfür: Hana Yori Dango. Ein anderes: Hana Kimi. Wie viele Boys over Flowers Versionen habt ihr schon geschaut? Wir bisher FÜNF 😊 

Da wir in diesem Blogbeitrag speziell von Korea reden, eines der modernsten Länder der Welt, was Technologie und Onlinemedien angeht, wollen wir uns auf Webtoons fokussieren. Diese kamen bereits als Story oder Post in unseren Sozialen Medien vor.

Der bekannteste Herausgeber von Webtoons ist LINE  Webtoon. 

“Senior” drama fans are already aware of it: Many of your favorite dramas are based on Manga and Manhwa. What follows is binge watching at its best: there are Japanese versions, Korean versions, Chinese and Taiwanese ones, all of which need to be watched. Of course, the next step is reading the original Manga. A good example is Hana Yori Dango. Another one is Hana Kimi. How many versions of Boys over Flowers have you already watched? In our case: FIVE 😊 

Our blog entry is going to focus on South Korea, one of the most technologically advanced countries in the world, and of course a pioneer in the creation of online media. This is why our main topic is Webtoons. They already appeared as part of  stories and posts within our social media channels. 

The best known platform for Webtoons is LINE Webtoon. 

Webtoons sind inzwischen die Grundlage für so viele Dramen, dass wir dieses Mal (passiert uns öfters, bei so vielen interessanten Inhalten aus Ostasien!) wieder eine Informations- und Ideenflut hatten. Welche Dramen wollen wir nehmen? Von Anfang an war die Wahl natürlich auf neuere Dramen eingeschränkt, denn: Webtoons und ihre Dramaversionen sind ein relativ neues Phänomen. Das hängt mit der Digitalisierung der Inhalte zusammen, die auch in anderen Ländern erst noch am Wachsen ist. Das heißt, ältere Dramen werdet ihr hier kaum finden, dafür vielleicht viele neue Ideen für Fans der neuen Inhalte oder für die, die sich gerne über aktuelle Entwicklungen in Korea informieren möchten.

So many dramas are based on Webtoons that our Koyangi-Team was confronted with the usual problem: A never-ending flow of ideas.... brainstorming.... basically too much information at once 😊 Which dramas should we choose? And so on... So, we decided to mainly focus on modern dramas (meaning newer ones) since Webtoons and their drama versions are a pretty recent phenomenon. The cause for that is the digital character of the content, that has still got a lot of space to grow in other countries. Accordingly, you won´t find many “older” dramas - Instead, lots of videos and possibly new ideas both for fans of recent dramas and current developments in Korea.
