New East Asian Dramas 2022
Hier kommt unser erster Eintrag für 2022! Und wir legen direkt mit dem los, was uns alle interessiert. Welche Dramen werden dieses Jahr laufen?
Teilweise hat man das Gefühl, dass es „früher“ leichter war mit den Dramen. Es liefen nämlich mehr rom-coms, zusätzlich zu den koreanischen noch sehr viele Dramen aus China und natürlich aus Japan. Damit hatte man sein Drama-Kontigent für das Jahr voll.
Aber die Dramawelt ist nun anders. Es gibt Onlineplattformen wie Netflix, Viki und sogar Disney+, die immer mehr ostasiatische Dramen produzieren, insbesondere koreanische. Mit „Kindgom“, „Squid Game“ und „Hellbound“ hat Netflix Massenhits produziert.
Außerdem wandeln sich Dramen mit der Zeit. Romcoms gibt es immer noch, aber Horror nimmt zu, Battle Royales (dank „Squid Game") und Scifi („Mount Jiri“, u.v.m..). Historische Dramen aus China werden laufend produziert - die Auswahl an Subgenres wächst auch.

Here it is! Our first blog entry for 2022.😊Let us dive directly into what matters the most: Which dramas will be shown during this year?
We sometimes feel like it was easier to watch dramas in the “past”. There were more romcoms, Korean dramas, but also lots of Chinese and Japanese ones too. And that was everything we needed to fill our drama-heart with content.
But the drama world has changed. Online plattforms such as Netflix, Viki and even Disney+ are producing more and more East Asian dramas, especially Korean ones. Netflix garnered attention with its record dramas „Kindgom“, „Squid Game“ and „Hellbound”.
Additionally, dramas themselves are changing. Romcoms remain, but at the same time horror is on the rise, also battle royales (thanks to “Squid Game”) and Scifi (“Mount Jiri”). Chinese historical dramas are constantly being produced and the number of subgenres is growing by the day.
As you may have noticed: The variety of dramas is growing steadily. In the middle of this change, we offer you a selection of the new dramas for this 2022. Which ones do you want to watch? Which genres do you love?
